As many as 25 newly inducted officers of K-P Public Prosecution department were sent to Bangkok on a training funded by US, a senior official said.

The three officers were asked to leave the hotel after a maid and other females alleged that they were sexually assaulted by the officials in a swimming pool. They were handed over to the local police in Bangkok and were later deported to Pakistan.

Two officials of the K-P prosecution department confirmed the development but wished not to be named. They said that the three officers were deported two days earlier from their scheduled arrival.

“The other members of the batch reached Saturday night but the three were deported two days earlier before their scheduled arrival,” said the official, adding that these officers’ posting orders were issued on January 10, and they were sent on the training course on management of case and their duties as public prosecutors.

An official inquiry has been initiated against the officials.

“They have not only disgraced the province but brought a bad name to the entire country” an official responsible for the oversight of the inquiry said, adding that the actions of such officials could have sabotaged the entire training programme.

nadeem ansari | 7 years ago | Reply I saw educated and illiterate Pakistanis in Dubai. Majority share same values. I wonder whether Pakistanis have mothers and sisters. If no hijab , they feel free to try their hand. We Indians have a culture of mother worship , perhaps a primitive habit. It saves us.
