For female faculty: UAF launches day-care centre for women

The VC said an exhibition centre has also been set up at the campus where industrialists can exhibit their products

FAISALABAD:
The University of Agriculture (UAF), Faisalabad launched a day-care centre on Sunday to facilitate working women at the university.

UAF Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan inaugurated the building that was completed at a cost of Rs141 million.

Dr Iqrar said that the university was taking all possible steps to provide facilities to students and faculty members. He added that the university had set up the country’s largest hostel with the funding of the Punjab government. The hostel has the capacity to accommodate around 1,000 female students.


The VC said an exhibition centre has also been set up at the campus where industrialists can exhibit their products. The university is working for agriculture and rural development, he said, adding the problems of the farming community are also being addressed with the help of research, trained manpower and policy recommendations.
