Black day observed to mark fourth anniversary of Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry's ouster.
QUETTA:
Lawyers observed a Black Day in Balochistan on Wednesday to mark the fourth anniversary of Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry’s ouster on March 9, 2007, by former military ruler Pervez Musharraf.
The lawyers wore black arm bands, boycotted court proceedings across the province, and hoisted black flags outside the bar rooms.
The courts presented a deserted look since no lawyer had appeared before the lower and superior courts. All cases in the Balochistan High Court, the Sessions Court and before the local magistrates were adjourned till the next date of hearing.
