Through railways: PSO oil transportation rises to 38% 

The oil transportation has increased from 4% to 38% in three years

ISLAMABAD: The oil transportation of Pakistan State Oil (PSO) through Pakistan Railways has increased from 4% to 38% in three years. “In the past, the percentage of oil transportation of PSO through railways was only 4%, which has now enhanced due to concerted efforts of the Pakistan Railways,” said an official in the Ministry of Railways. He said that the increase is around 10 times more and efforts are underway to further enhance the transportation of oil. Responding to a question about the new locomotives, the official said that new locomotives will specifically be utilised for freight trains and it will also help to increase transportation of oil.
