Bakhtawar expresses concern over Bilawal’s address from car sunroof
Benazir Bhutto was assassinated in December 2007 in Rawalpindi after she rose out of the sunroof of her vehicle
Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari Thursday took out an anti-government rally from Lahore as part of his party’s ‘Awami Rabita Mohim’.
During the rally, Bilawal passionately addressed his party workers by rose out of the sunroof of his vehicle a couple of times. The PPP leader’s move prompted his sister Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari to tweet her concern:
“Why are you allowing my brother on the sunroof,” Bakhtawar said in an apparent message to the party’s Punjab authorities.
Bakhtawar seemed particularly worried as her mother, former prime minister Benazir Bhutto, was assassinated in December 2007 outside Rawalpindi’s Liaqat Bagh after she rose out of the sunroof of her vehicle to address party workers.
