Lohan set to sue jewellery store

Lohan is reportedly preparing to sue Kamofie and Company - the jewellery store she is accused of stealing from.

LONDON:
Lindsay Lohan is reportedly preparing to sue Kamofie and Company - the jewellery store she is accused of stealing from.

According to reports, Lohan is preparing a lawsuit against Kamofie & Company for using her image to profit without permission after it sold CCTV footage of her in the store on the day she is accused of stealing a $2,500 necklace.

The video was sold for at least $40,000 and was aired Tuesday on the American TV show "Entertainment Tonight".

A representative for the jeweller has, however, said they felt it was "necessary" to release the video, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

"We hope that everyone understands that this is beyond our control, the flood of the requests to see this video were simply too overwhelming. It was truly necessary to put it out," said an official statement from the store.
