Minor girl’s body recovered from Swat
Official said the police had handed over the body to her family and registered an FIR against unidentified culprits

The Swat police on Tuesday recovered the body of a minor girl, who had gone missing three days ago.
According to officials, the police recovered the body of Shazma from the Maloch village of Kabal tehsil in Swat district.
“Shazma, Rahim Ullah’s daughter, had gone missing three days ago and a complaint had also been lodged by her parents with the local police station,” the official said.
The post-mortem report revealed that Shazma received a blow on her head while there had been no sign of sexual assault.
The official said the police had handed over the body to her family and registered an FIR against unidentified culprits.
Power outages
Local Government (LG) representatives took to the streets in the main city of Mingora and protested against the unscheduled power outages and gas load shedding.
Addressing the protesters, Mayor of the Babuzai tehsil Ikram Khan said that people of the main city of Mingora were fed up with the prolonged power outage and gas load shedding in their area.
He said that all LG representatives, traders and civil society members would participate in protest on January 19 if their demand to ending unscheduled power outage was not met.
