Quick thinking: Train, dumper avoid collision  

An accident between a train and a dumper was averted due to the timely action by the train driver

SUKKUR: An accident between a train carrying goods and a dumper at the Mando Dero railway crossing some 15 kilometres away from Sukkur was averted on Monday due to the timely action by the train driver. According to Railways authorities, a goods train was on the way to Karachi from Punjab and when it reached near the Mando Dero railway crossing, a dumper driver tried to cross the railway line. The train driver immediately applied the emergency brakes, thereby averting an accident. Railway police arrested the driver and impounded the vehicle.
