Political statement: Govt showering development projects on AJK: PM
Haider said the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) will greatly benefit the entire area
Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Prime Minister Farooq Haider on Thursday enumerated the development projects PML-N government has approved for AJK.
The federal government under the leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is working hard for the development of AJK, he said while addressing a press conference in Muzaffarabad.
Haider said the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) will greatly benefit the entire area. Apart from the corridor project, he said the federal government has approved a development package worth Rs125 billion for the uplift of roads network in AJK under CPEC.
He said construction of an expressway from Lower Topa to Kohala, a medical college in Poonch, Leepa Tunnel and extension of Muzaffarabad and Rawalakot Airports have also been approved.
