Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) has stated that it would undertake several initiatives under ‘Enhancing Women Economic Empowerment through Skills Development and Capacity Building’ to promote women entrepreneurship in the region. The project would be launched in collaboration with Aurat Foundation, said a statement issued by ICCI here on Thursday. Addressing the launching ceremony, ICCI President Khalid Iqbal Malik said the project would go a long way in enhancing the economic empowerment of women through their skills enhancement and capacity building. He said that women were half of the total population and bringing them into the mainstream business activities was vital for sustainable economic growth.
