EC should decide on fake degrees: Gilani

Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani said on Thursday that fake degree holders should not be allowed to contest elections but the decision must be taken by the Election Commission.
Addressing the National Assembly (NA) session, the prime minister said that there are several MNAs in the house who have fake degress and their cases are pending. But he said that parliament will have to respect the mandate untill there is a final decision.
The prime minister said that in the backdrop of his address in the election campaign of former MNA Jamshed Dasti who was declared ineligible by the court for holding a fake degree.
