Peter Dinklage set to join Avengers: Infinity War?
Popular Game of Thrones actor may join the Marvel universe.
Attention all Peter Dinklage fans!
The actor may soon be leaving the Seven Kingdoms to travel to Marvel's comic book universe. According to The Hollywood Reporter, everyone's favourite Game of Thrones star is in early talks to join Avengers: Infinity War.
Dinklage is no stranger to comic book films. He has already starred in 2014's X-Men: Days of Future Past as villain Bolivar Trask for Fox.
The rest of the cast of Infinity War has not been announced yet but the film is expected to feature the largest group of characters in a Marvel Cinematic Universe pic, with Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) and Captain America (Chris Evans) teaming up with members of the Guardians of the Galaxy and Benedict Cumberbatch's Doctor Strange to fight Thanos (Josh Brolin).
The film takes its name from a six-issue 1992 Marvel Comic series, which is a sequel to a 1991 series called The Infinity Gauntlet. No plot synopsis for the film has been released yet but it's likely that Infinity War will borrow from the Gauntlet comic, which sees Thanos gather Infinity Stones to achieve godlike powers.
Infinity War is set for a May 4, 2018 release.
