Swabi industrial zone to be included in CPEC
K-P will provide resources to the educational institutes and universities for enriching future of the students
SWABI:
The Chinese authorities have assured the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) government to include industrial zone at the Karnal Sher Khan interchange in Swabi in the multi-billion dollar China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
“This assurance has been given to the K-P Chief Minister Pervez Khattak during his successful tour to China,” said the K-P Assembly speaker Asad Qaiser on Tuesday. He was inaugurating a newly built multi-purpose sport complex, academic blocks and cafeteria at the Swabi University.
“Swabi’s newly constructed industrial zone will help build economic activities in the region and create new employment opportunities in the district,” he said, adding that the CPEC will bring revolution in trade and commerce in the whole sub-continent and Central Asia.
He said the K-P government wanted development and prosperity in the K-P and would welcome every move in this regard by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his team. Qaiser also urged the premier to visit Swabi University to initiate new projects in the campus and provide funds to the university.
He said the K-P will provide required resources to the educational institutes and universities for enriching future of the students and to ensure positive growth in research.
