Skill development: CPNE to hold workshops for journalists
CPNE would hold workshops in major cities of the country
KARACHI:
Council of Pakistan Newspaper Editors and senior journalists are considering to introduce programmes for working journalists to enhance their skills. Under a Memorandum of Understanding signed with the Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto University of law, CPNE will hold seminars, workshops and certificate courses for journalists. The announcement came after a meeting of the council’s skill development committee, chaired by Dr Waqar Yousuf, was held on Tuesday. Secretary General Aijazul Haq said that CPNE would hold workshops in major cities of the country including Lahore, Islamabad, Hyderabad, Faisalabad, Peshawar, Quetta and Gilgit-Baltistan. Ghulam Nabi Chandio, Hamid Hussain Abidi, Faisal Shahjehan, Muhammad Shabbir Chaudhry, Abdul Khaliq Ali, Arif Baloch, Abdul Rehman Mangrio, Qazi Mustufa and Sher Muhammad Khawar,also participated in the meeting.
