BAHAWALPUR: Policing has become more public friendly than before while records in all police stations of the district have been computerised.

Regional Police Officer Muhammad Idrees Ahmad said this at a meeting which was held in RPO office on Tuesday. He said records of 72 police stations throughout the region have been computerised while front desks have been established for the public’s convenience.

He said it was the responsibility of police officials to discharge their duties with honesty and root-out criminals from the society.

On the occasion, the police officials informed the RPO regarding their problems. The RPO listened to their grievances and issued the directions to the DPOs of all the three districts to prepare feasibility for the establishment of Public School in Police Lines and also take steps for the reduction of fees of education institutes throughout the region for the children of policemen.
