Imran for unlocking K-P’s tourism potential

Says modern technology should be used for mining

PESHAWAR:
The Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) chief has suggested the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government to make use of the tourism resources in the province.

During his visit to Peshawar on Monday, Imran stressed over the use of modern technology in the mining sector to enhance the K-P’s mining productivity. He was briefed at the K-P chief minister House on mining and mineral sector and tourism sectors.

“We can generate more revenue in a short time by declaring areas like Kumrat [valley in Upper Dir] as national park and formulating proper system of cleanliness,” Imran said, adding that it would not only improve economy but also create jobs opportunities.


PTI secretary general Jahangir Tareen accompanied him in the visit and both the leaders held meetings with Chief Minister K-P Pervez Khattak, Speaker K-P assembly Asad Qaiser and provincial ministers along with K-P Chief Secretary Abid Saeed and Additional Chief Secretary Azam Khan.

Khattak said natural resources could to be utilised to increase the volume of revenues and employment opportunities in the province.
