BISP is empowering 5.4 million women across the country through financial aid

Around 42,000 people in district Bhakkar are reaping the benefits of the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), said Minister for State and BISP Chairperson Marvi Memon.
She visited district Bhakkar, Kot Addu and Muzaffargarh on Monday to inquire about the transparent disbursement of money among needy people.
The minister said the BISP is empowering 5.4 million women across the country through financial aid. An amount of Rs117 billion has been allocated for this purpose, she added. The recipients should contact BISP Hotline 080026477 in case of any difficulty or for the registration of complaints against the service delivery, she advised.
Talking to the journalists, she said biometric schemes had been introduced for those women who were illiterate and unable to withdraw money from Automated Teller Machines (ATM).
