Deserving women: BISP plans to launch survey
She said that current beneficiaries of the BISP in the district

A survey is to be launched within six to seven months to enlist more deserving women as beneficiaries, Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) chairperson Marvi Memon said on Saturday. During a visit to the BISP centre in DI Khan, Memon said the the government would not tolerate any political interference aimed at depriving poor women of their access to the program which served as a social safety net for the poor female population of the country. She said that current beneficiaries of the BISP in the district were about 100,000 and the number would grow once more needy women of the area were enrolled in the upcoming survey. She also listened to the problems of the beneficiaries, saying a reliable payment mechanism was being introduced.
