Midwife Arrested: Police recover abducted infant
FIR lodged by the child’s family against the unknown abductors

Police have recovered a newborn baby who was abducted from the gynae ward of Saidu Teaching Hospital on Thursday, officials said on Saturday. A midwife, identified as Shah Paristan, took the baby away from his mother while she was sleeping in the ward. Paristan sold the baby to one of her relatives for Rs3,000. According to an official at Saidu Sharif police station, the police immediately responded to the FIR lodged by the child’s family against the unknown abductors. Following a tip off, the police raided a house in Faizabad and recovered the missing child.
