Investigations: CTD to look into Jauhar police shooting
Policeman was travelling on a motorcycle when the firing occurred
KARACHI:
The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) has been tasked with investigating the ‘targeted killing’ of a sub-inspector in Gulistan-e-Jauhar. SI Iqbal Mehmood, 40, posted at Ferozabad police station, was attacked by unknown assailants in a car off Rashid Minhas Road on Wednesday night. According to the police, three other men were also wounded. The policeman was travelling on a motorcycle along with his friend, Waseem, when the firing occurred. SI Mehmood was associated with the investigations of some cases pending with anti-terrorism courts, said the police.
