Excise And Taxation: Officials directed to be vigilant 

Provincial minister for excise, taxation and narcotics control Mukesh Kumar Chawla, while taking notice of news that female drug peddling group are operating in Karachi, has directed officers concerned to be more vigilant, keep an eye on their activities and nab them as soon as possible. He said this while presiding over a meeting at his office on Wednesday. Department secretary Dr Mansoor Abbas Rizvi and director-general of excise and taxation Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui also attended the meeting. Chawala said that it was very shocking to hear that females were also involved in the transportation of narcotics and to counter this, his team had to be very active. He directed the DG to form special task force to arrest these groups and take measures to eradicate drug smuggling and sale of illicit liquor in the province.
