Your Stars Today

Aries | March 20 – April 18

Sometimes it’s easy to forget that Mercury is retrograde and, with it, situations arise in which even seemingly solid facts are unreliable. Since you can’t assess what’s accurate and what isn’t, the best option is to ensure everything you arrange is flexible enough to ride out unexpected twists and turns.

Taurus | April 19 – May 19

There are many ways to refuse an offer. As somebody ruled by the gracious Venus, you tend to prefer a more tactful approach. Bear in mind, however, that certain individuals are less subtle, which means if you’re to make your point with them, you must be forthright, if not blunt.

Gemini | May 20 – June 19

The changes in plans you’re considering are both timely and exciting. The only problem is that certain inflexible individuals are likely to complain, if not object. Knowing that, try to view the situation from their perspective, then organise your description of what you’re doing, and its influence on them, from that angle.

Cancer | June 20 – July 21

Being a sympathetic water sign, you try not to bother others with matters you know they find it difficult to deal with. Now, however, you have no choice. Arm yourself with facts and, even more, recognise that it’s unlikely the resulting discussion will go smoothly. Then, if it does, you’ll be happily surprised.

Leo | July 22 – August 21

For ages you’ve been trying to find your way around certain increasingly tedious practical matters but going nowhere fast. Then, last Thursday’s New Moon ushered in ideas as unexpected as they seemed unrealistic. However, these aren’t just working out, it’s beginning to look like they’re the perfect solution.

Virgo | August 22 – September 21

As much as you dislike being put in the position of having to tell others they’re wrong, if you don’t speak up now, there are bound to be problems later. The trick is to ask the individuals involved if they’ve any concerns. These could provide a foundation for the necessary discussions.

Libra | September 22 – October 21

Although the ideas planet Mercury went retrograde on 19 December, its shift, while still in reverse movement, to accent those you care about most, promises to raise unresolved issues. This may not sound like good news but, in reality, once you focus on these, you’ll find that they’re easily fixed.

Scorpio | October 22 – November 20

No sign is better at engineering confrontations without the individuals involved recognising that manoeuvres are taking place in the background. Still, don’t be surprised if unexpected events turn your plans upside down. The changes in question may be minor, but as facts surface, you’ll be forced to reveal your strategy.

Sagittarius | November 21 – December 20

For ages you’ve been aware of the need to rethink elements of your domestic and financial setup. But such things are complex and you didn’t know where to begin. Between the recent New Moon and inspiring if unexpected discussions, you suddenly see the way ahead. Next? Take that first step.

Capricorn | December 21 – January 19

As a Capricorn and an earth sign, you prefer to base plans on hard facts. However, the link between fiery Mars and Neptune, the planet of vision, suggests that what you sense or feel about certain matters will be so strong you’ll base decisions on those instincts. The results? Life changing.

Aquarius | January 20 – February 18

Making practical plans is one thing. And judging by recent planetary activity that’s as extraordinary as it is rare, thrilling events will have made several decisions of a practical nature for you. However, more personal matters are less clear and may have to wait until the Aquarius New Moon, at January’s close.

Pisces | February 19 – March 19

Long ago you learnt that while many will happily acknowledge the power of intuition, there are a few who want hard facts. At the moment, however, they’re in short supply. Waste no time trying to justify your feelings to these individuals. The solution is to politely, but firmly, change the subject.
