ISLAMABAD:
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has appointed Major General Azhar Naveed Hayat as the new Director General of Pakistan Rangers in Punjab.
The Establishment Division on Thursday issued the notification, saying that with the approval of the competent authority (PM) Major General Azhar Naveed Hayat has been transferred and posted as the Director General Pakistan Rangers (Punjab), under the Ministry of Interior.

Hayat will be taking over from Major General Umar Farooq Burki. Earlier, he was serving as the General Officer Commanding at 33 Infantry Division in Quetta.
