Siraj says Sharif’s worst form of monarchy
JI chief Sirajul Haq has said the worst form of kingship is prevailing in the country in the name of democracy
LAHORE:
Jamaat-e-Islami chief Sirajul Haq has said the worst form of kingship is prevailing in the country in the name of democracy and the rulers are dividing the society to fulfil their colonial agenda.
Addressing the concluding session of the JI central executive committee at Mansoora on Sunday, the senator said the people converting Quaid-e-Azam’s Pakistan into a land full of problems were villains and a mass movement was essential to bring the corrupt elite to accountability.
Siraj said divisions in society were getting deep and the oppressive system was being backed by elements in the bureaucracy and establishment.
The JI chief, however, added a democratic system was the path to be taken and his party was determined to bring about a revolution through polls.
He said a few families had decided between themselves to support one another to reach the echelons of power and not to speak against each other’s corruption.
