CM gives Rs1m to slain boy’s family

He handed over a cheque for Rs1 million to the family and also prayed for the departed soul

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif met with the parents of Saqib Ali and expressed deep sorrow over the murder of their son on Sunday. The 18-year-old boy was murdered last month and his body was thrown into a drain in Green Town. Talking to Saqib’s father Muhammad Nazir and mother Waziran Bibi, the chief minister said he was extremely grieved over the death of their son and would spare no efforts in provision of justice to them. He handed over a cheque for Rs1 million to the family and also prayed for the departed soul.
