They also lamented that a child labour survey has not been carried out since 1996
HYDERABAD:
Non-profit organisations working for rights of children have denounced the Sindh government’s apathy towards projects that have yet to be executed under Child Protection Authority Act, 2011. Representatives of The State of Pakistan’s Children and Child Rights Movement deplored that Rs200 million earmarked for such projects has not been utilised yet. They were speaking during a legislators and media sensitising workshop in Hyderabad on Sunday. They also lamented that a child labour survey has not been carried out since 1996, when 4.3 million children were found to be engaged in child labour.
