Pk 661 Crash: Chinese victim’s body given to mission

The remains of a Chinese national who was on board the PK-661 flight that crashed in Abbottabad have been handed over to the China Embassy officials in Islamabad. The process of handing over of bodies the victims and their burial was completed on December 17 and only the remains of three foreigners were kept in morgues till the fulfillment of travel permit formalities. Relatives of the Chinese citizen, Han Qiang, had arrived in Pakistan after the crash for DNA verification and had visited the crash site as well. After the completion of the visa process, the body was handed over to the Chinese embassy to be sent to his hometown. The remains of two Austrian citizens are still in the hospital morgue as the ministry of foreign affairs is yet to issue a passport and NOC for the transportation of the remains.
