Continuing crackdown: Rangers DG vows to counter terrorism   

Security forces are aware of the forces which are creating hurdles in the way of establishing peace in Karachi

KARACHI: The newly appointed Rangers director-general Major-General Muhammad Saeed vowed to continue the operation against militant wings, kidnappers and extortionists in the province. “[The] operation against militant wings, kidnappers, and extortionists will continue in Karachi and the rest of Sindh,” he said while addressing Rangers personnel during his visit to various Rangers’ sectors in the city on Wednesday.

Speaking on the occasion, Major-General Saeed said that security forces are aware of the internal and external forces which are creating hurdles in the way of establishing peace in Karachi. He also appreciated the role of the paramilitary force in establishing peace in the city and paid tribute to his predecessor Lieutenant-General Bilal Akbar for restoring peace in the city. The Rangers, in cooperation with people, will foil the designs of terrorists, he said.
