Health care services: All DHQ hospitals to get CT scanners
Government would pay the expenditures of every CT scan test
LAHORE:
CT scan machines will be provided to every district headquarters hospital by April 2017, Punjab Primary and Secondary Health Minister Imran Nazir on Tuesday.
The machines would be installed through public and private partnership scheme. The company installing these machines would be responsible for their repairs and maintenance and round the clock functionality.
The machines would be operated by the private firm while the government would pay the expenditures of every CT scan test that will be provided to the patients free of charge.
Minister Imran said the strategy of public and private partnership would resolve the issue of frequent non-functioning of the machines as the company would be responsible for their repair and maintenance. The company would ensure its functioning for their own financial interest, he added.
