Cholistan sports activity: SUVs to rev up for desert rally on Feb 9
The rally would run on 500 kilometre route
BAHAWALPUR:
The Tourism Development Corporation Pakistan (TDCP) is organising a 500 kilometre long desert rally from February 9 to 12 in Cholistan.
This was said by Bahawalpur Commissioner Saqib Zafar while presiding over a meeting at his office on Sunday.
The meeting was held to review the arrangements for holding the event. He said, “The desert rally would pass through three districts in Cholistan which include Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar and Rahim Yar Khan.” He added, “The rally would run on 500 kilometre route.”
On the occasion, the commissioner directed the DCOs to mobilise all available resources to ensure befitting arrangements on the routes and the check posts of the route of Desert Rally 2017. “All major forts like Derawer Fort, Khair Garh Fort, Bajnot Fort, Nawan Kot Fort, Deen Garh Fort, Moj Garh Fort, Marrot Fort, Jam Garh Fort and Mehr Garh Fort should be fully decorated along with adequate lightening arrangements,” he directed the officials.
