Mismanagement: Land record officials warned of strict action

Faisalabad commissioner pays surprise visit to LRIMS centre

FAISALABAD: Faisalabad Divisional Commissioner Momin Agha took serious notice of mismanagement at the local centre of Land Record Information Management System (LRIMS) and directed the in-charge to rectify all the issues for smooth functioning of the centre in order to provide relief to general public regarding land record.

He paid a surprise visit to the LRIMS centre and checked working of all the sections. He expressed his displeasure over the poor condition of the cleanliness and ordered the assistant commissioner and incharge of the centre that they would not leave the office today until cleanliness of the centre was not completed.

He directed for immediate repairing of token issuance machine, saying this system should be made functional without any delay.

The commissioner directed that proper and wide awareness campaign should be continued for the information of the general public about the available facilities at the centre with reference to land record. He added the Punjab government had introduced LRIMS to eliminate patwari culture and the staff should deliver the best service to achieve desired objectives set by the Punjab government.

He warned that a delay in disposal of people’s applications, disorder of record and other irregularities would not be tolerated. The staff should mend their ways in this regard or be ready to face the music.

He also directed for handing over the building of Land Record of Tehsil Saddar and stressed the need to functionalise it immediately.
