settlement: Kidnapping, rape suspects acquitted
Bhara Khau police had booked a man and three of his sons for kidnapping and raping a woman
ISLAMABAD:
A sessions court on Thursday acquitted four members of a family who had been booked for allegedly kidnapping a woman.
Bhara Khau police had booked a man and three of his sons for kidnapping and raping a woman in May this year.
However, Additional District and Sessions Judge Raja Khurram Ali Khan acquitted them of the charge after the principal suspect reached an out-of-court settlement with the complainant.
Meanwhile, Additional District and Sessions Judge Pervaizul Qadir Memon also acquitted a man accused of raping a woman. The suspect, who had been booked by the Golra police earlier this year, was acquitted on the basis of police report which exonerated him.
