Shahbaz Bhatti’s assassination (IV)
This seems a repeat of the Salmaan Taseer assassination conspiracy.
KARACHI:
Yet another supporter of human rights has been silenced by the religious extremists. A day before the minister was killed, a human rights activist was killed in Balochistan. Now, Shahbaz Bhatti, who spoke out against the blasphemy law has been killed. And the security agencies are covering their absence by planting stories that the minister had declined to use the security personnel given to him. This seems a repeat of the Salmaan Taseer assassination conspiracy.
When those who are supposed to guard us are conspirators, then this country has little space for people like us.
