Police arrest five wanted terrorists in Bahawalpur

Police recovers heavy weaponry including rocket launchers, automatic guns and explosives from terrorists.

BAHALWALPUR: Bahawalpur police arrested five terrorists from Bahawalpur who were wanted for aiding in suicide attacks in different parts of Punjab.

Police recovered heavy weaponry from these terrorists including rocket launchers, automatic guns and explosives.

The suspects arrested were allegedly involved in terrorist activities in Melsi, DG Khan, Rajan Pur and Bahawalpur.

Meanwhile, police sources said the arrested were experts in making suicide jackets and belonged to a banned organization.

Last month, seven most wanted terrorists were also arrested by the Bahawalpur police who were said to be involved in suicide attacks and bomb blasts across the country.

My Opinion | 13 years ago | Reply One thing that bogles my mind is that why the faces of the terrorists are always covered.Are these terrorists shy or the law enforcement agencies don't want the general public to know who they really are.In the rest of the world the faces of the officers are normally covered to protect them, but the terrorist's or the suspect's faces are always shown to the public.This makes me really suspicious of our agencies.How many terrorists had their mugshots(Pictures) shown in the Pakistani media,almost "none".Our govenment should let us see the faces of these killers of Pakistani people.Its just makes me say"Hummmmmm"?

Noor | 13 years ago | Reply Speedy killing, by judicial hanging-till-death, of the terrorists is a must. The Chief Justice needs to wake up from his corroding semi-political grandeur and reform the system by dispensing justice, instead of targeting PPP leaders.
