Pakistan blind team extends winning run

Completes ODI whitewash over Australia.

LAHORE:
Pakistan blind cricket team extended their extraordinary wining streak to 24 consecutive One-Day Internationals (ODI) by winning the last match against Australia by four wickets at the Adelaide Oval.

Pakistan won the Peter Donovan-Agha Shaukat Ali Cricket Series 3-0, which was also their sixth consecutive one-day series triumph. The series has been named after former chairman of Pakistan Blind Cricket Council Agha Shaukat Ali, and the former president of World Blind Cricket Council Peter Donovan, to recognise their efforts for the development of blind cricket.


Pakistan, opting to bowl first, were set  293 to win after Lindsay Heaven top-scored with 75 and Mathew Horsey chipped in with 54. Abdul Razzaq claimed two wickets  while Rizwan, Zafar and Jameel took a wicket each.

In reply, the tourists got off to a brisk start and reached the target in the 30th over, losing six wickets in the process. Muhammad Jameel  continued his excellent form in the series and scored an unbeaten 151. Raymond Moxly, Peter Robinson and Lindsay Heaven took two wickets each for Australia.
