‘Bring back old registration system for exams’

LAHORE: The All Pakistan Private Schools Management Association (APPSMA) has demanded the revival of the old registration system for students, maintaining that the new online system now required by education boards is proving problematic.

APPSMA officials say that students, parents and teachers were vehemently opposed to the new system. APPSMA central president Adeeb Jawadani told reporters on Tuesday that the old system should continue in parallel with the new system as most of the private as well as public sector schools did not have internet facilities. Jawadani said that the education boards should not forget that almost 80 percent of students lived in remote areas and did not have access to modern facilities. Jawadani said that matric students and parents were facing problems with the new online process. “Many students still haven’t gotten roll number slips for the class 10 examination.
