Non-compliance: Senators to bring privilege motion against CDA officers

A parliamentary panel has decided to move a privilege motion against certain officials of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) for failing to implement recommendations of the panel on land for Pakistan Agriculture Research Council (PARC).
The Senate Standing Committee on National Food Security and Research met with Senator Muzafar Hussain Shah in chair at the Parliament House on Friday and discussed different issues.
Shah said that the committee deliberated over giving 1,400 acres of land PARC.
Noting that CDA had failed to respond to notices issued by the panel, it was decided that a privilege motion would be moved against relevant officers of the civic body.
The committee also reviewed report of Cotton Commissioner Dr Abdullah. The panel 22 per cent decline in planting cotton.
