"Syndicate of terrorist organisations a serious concern"
WASHINGTON:
US Secretary of Defence Robert Gates said that the syndicate of terrorist organisations in Afghanistan and Pakistan is a serious concern for the Obama administration.
In an interview to CNN, he said that terrorists are looking at destabilising the whole region and overthrowing not only the Afghan government, but also the Pakistani government.
Gates said that Pakistan has more incentive to go after these terrorists as these groups are now attacking them.
The Secretary of Defence also expressed concern over the radicalisation of individuals holding US passports.
