Standards: Health ministry secures ISO 9001 certification
Tarar said that a reform process had been set in motion as soon as the incumbent government took office
ISLAMABAD:
The health ministry on Wednesday was granted the ISO 9001:2015 certification, making it the country’s first federal ministry to attain the certification.
Minister for National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination Saira Afzal Tarar received the ISO certification for quality management system in a ceremony on Wednesday. She congratulated officers and staff of the ministry for achieving this landmark.
Tarar said that a reform process had been set in motion as soon as the incumbent government took office, which was now showing tangible results.
“ISO certification of Ministry of National Health Services and earlier of vaccine storage supplies under the ministry bears testimony to our efforts to strive for excellence at par with international standards,” she said. The certification is aimed at introducing transparency in procedures and enhancing efficiency.
