In broad daylight: Woman robbed at gunpoint  

According to the police, the woman could have been saved from the robbery, if the security guards had taken action

KARACHI: Two robbers snatched jewellery and other valuables from a woman, identified as Shehla, near Cafe Zouk on Khayaban-e-Shujaat on Wednesday afternoon.

According to Darakhshan police, two robbers riding a motorcycle looted gold bangles and a diamond ring from the woman at gunpoint when she parked her car in the plot in front of the restaurant.

"Two robbers came up to me and, at gunpoint, snatched my jewellery," she told the police. According to the police, the woman could have been saved from the robbery, if the security guards had taken action.

There are CCTV cameras installed in front of the restaurant and other nearby locations and these robbers can be traced via the cameras," said the Darakhshan police station duty officer. The case has been registered and further investigation is under way.
