The environment wing of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) has been told to start landscaping on sections of the under-construction Koral Interchange which have been completed.
The directions were issued by Islamabad Mayor and chairman of CDA Sheikh Anser Aziz while inspecting the under construction interchange on Tuesday.
Aziz further directed that barriers be built along different loops of the interchange and to build proper drainage system on the interchange.
While taking notice of the encroachments in the surrounding the interchange, the mayor directed the concerned formation to remove these encroachments.
Earlier, Project Director Mumtaz Hussain said over 75 per cent of work on the interchange had been completed while the estimated cost of the project was Rs1.78 billion.
