‘Angel’ hit-maker plays role of love guru while resting on chair

KARACHI: From dancing to singing to creating his own videos – is there anything that the king of quirks Taher Shah cannot do? The Pakistani pop sensation set screens on fire with a cameo appearance in the first online film titled Oye! Kuch Kar Guzar.

The Eye to Eye hit-maker’s acting debut is definitely a treat for his fans. The video highlights a rather atrocious background with Shah playing the role of a ‘love guru’ sitting on a chair with a white cat in his arms. Meanwhile, a narrator refers to the singer as ‘King Shah,’ asking him to send out a message to young people struggling for true love.



In response, Shah – dressed in royal avatar – delivers the message in some ultra-Urdu dialogues. “Your love, is in itself, an angel,” he says. Oye! Kuch Kar Guzar stars Ali Safina, Ushna Shah and Uzair Jaswal in pivotal roles and was released on December 3.

His last outing, Angel, revolved around a similar concept. “Angel is not just about a purple robe, a blonde-wig baby and of course, an angel. It’s about loneliness, love and children,” Shah wrote on his blog earlier, referring to the song he released in April, 2016. “Like all of you humans are like ‘angels,’ I am also like an ‘angel’.”
