Kachcha bunder residents need to be removed: Sukkur DCO

A high level meeting chaired by chief secretary Sindh will be held on March 3 in Karachi, to decide the fate of the Kachcha bunder residents, who are the main hindrance in the repair and maintenance of the protective bunder wall.
Speaking at a press conference, DCO Sukkur Inamullah Dharejo said that the already weakened wall will not be able to hold if more flash floods are experienced.
Speaking on the failure of the district administration in shifting cattle pans to the cattle colony, the DCO said there were 58 cattle pans in the city and the administration had allotted 90 plots for the cattle pans.
He also said that the district administration had arranged a horse and cattle show in Sukkur on March 5 and 6. The aim of the show is to create awareness among cattle owners and how modern research can help improve their livestock.
Federal Minister for Religious Affairs, Syed Khursheed Shah will be the chief guest on the first day, and Sindh Minister for Livestock Abid Jatoi will be the chief guest on the second day.
He also said that an agriculture seminar would also be organized in collaboration with Pakistan Agriculture Council and Agriculture universities Faisalabad and Tando Jam.
