Hanif retained as chief selector
New selection committee announced by PHF.

The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has announced a new selection committee while retaining Olympian Hanif Khan as its chairman.
Khalid Bashir and Mohammad Arshad Chaudhary will work under Hanif in the committee formed to last until the 2012 London Olympics with scouting in the ongoing under-19 championship as its first task.
“The committee has been advised to go to Bahawalpur immediately for the under-19 championship and compile a list of probables for the upcoming junior Asia Cup,” said PHF Secretary Asif Bajwa. “The PHF will be also be announcing the team management of the junior and senior squads”
Pakistan keen to rearrange Egypt tour
Pakistan’s abandoned tour of Egypt, due to the political tension in the African country, will be rescheduled in a couple of weeks, according to Bajwa.
“We were forced to postpone our tour due to the situation in Egypt but we’re determine to rearrange this series for when the situation is stable. The situation was beyond our control and we have to seek the government’s advice before touring.”
