MULTAN:
Five new parks will be built at a cost of Rs5 million to provide recreational facilities to the residents of Multan.

Multan District Coordination Officer (DCO) Nadir Chatha ordered the construction of these parks and directed the Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) to start work on the project immediately.

He was speaking at a press conference held on Saturday. PHA Director General Chaudary Naseer and other district advisors were also present on the occasion.

The parks will be built near Bosan Road Telephone Exchange, Bagheechi Bohar Gate, Muzaffarabad Railway Station and Social welfare complex. Play lands for children, jogging tracks and food outlets will also be established at these parks. The PHA has also issued a tender to complete the work on these parks by using funds provided by the district government.

Nadir said the district government is committed to providing a healthy environment for citizens.  He added these parks will be completed in one month and be open for the public.
