KARACHI: The Sindh government has released Rs4.5 billion in arrears to the Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (Hesco) and Sukkur Electric Power Company (Sepco).

He said that there were 295 power connections of both the power companies in Sindh. The water and power department has agreed to pay them a Rs27 billion power bill in six installments. Naqvi remarked that, with the approval of the CM, he has released Rs4.5 billion as first installment to the Hesco and Sepco. “I have also released the current bill of Rs837 million,” he said.
