KARACHI: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has added Salalah, a city of Oman, to its flight operation. The inaugural flight PK-235 departed from Lahore at 12:30 pm on Thursday.

Flights on the Lahore-Salalah-Lahore route would be operated twice a week on every Thursday and Sunday, PIA said in a statement.

PIA said it was already flying to Oman capital Muscat and with the addition of Salalah, the management was striving to facilitate potential passengers and further boost the link between the two countries and within the region.

Expressing his views on the occasion, PIA CEO Bernd Hildenbrand said the air carrier was expanding its fleet and flight operation on profitable routes was being increased, especially to places where the expatriate Pakistani community lived.
