MUZAFFARABAD: Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly (AJKLA) on Wednesday unanimously passed a resolution against Indian aggression along the Line of Control (LoC) and the Working Boundary.

Lawmakers moved a resolution in the house which urged the world community, including the European Union (EU), United Nations (UN) and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to send their respective representatives to the Indian Occupied Kashmir (IoK) to investigate human rights abuses committed by the Indian military since July 8.

The resolution states that unprovoked Indian firing from across the LoC, the attack on a passenger bus in Neelum Valley, and shelling on Working Boundary was all part of New Delhi’s plan to divert the world’s attention from atrocities in IoK where over 15,000 Kashmiris have been injured and nearly a hundred youngsters between 15 to 25 years of age, have been blinded through pellet guns.

“Indian forces have been violating the ceasefire on LoC and WB to provoke Pakistan for a war. World community should take notice of Indian destructive designs for south Asian peace and security,” the resolution reads.

“Through the resolution we want to send a message to India, and across the globe, that the people of AJK and their elected representatives are on one page and united against Indian aggression on LoC. World community should come forward and take notice of Indian state terrorism in the Occupied valley and ceasefire violation on the LoC,” said AJK senior minister Tariq Farooq.
