Glowing Tributes: Kalam-e-Iqbal singing competition held

LAHORE: The Punjab University’s Directorate of Students Affairs department organised the Kalam-e-Iqbal singing competition in connection with Iqbal Day celebrations at Faisal Auditorium on Wednesday. A large number of students from various departments presented Kalam-e-Iqbal and paid tribute to the ‘Thinker of Pakistan’. In a competition among girls, Mahak Azam, Nasreen Akhter and Syeda Hijaz Zahra secured first, second and third positions, respectively. They were awarded cash prizes, while Saman and Atiqa Nasir received appreciation certificates and cash prizes. Similarly, in a competition among boys, Afzaal Hussain, Haifz Muhammad Sufyan and Safdar Kazmi clinched first, second and third places, respectively. They were also awarded cash prizes. Dean Faculty of Oriental Learning Professor Dr Fakhrul Haq Noori, Director Students Affairs Shahid Mahmood Gul, Deputy Director Zubair Ahmed, faculty members and students attended the event.
