Maltreatment : Students protest against Ghazi University officials
They demanded that the Punjab chief minister and senior officials take note of the incident and provide justice

The students of Ghazi University took to the streets on Wednesday in protest against the mistreatment of their peers by the varsity administration.
The protesters gathered at College Chowk and accused Ghazi University officials, including Professor Dr Aleem, of thrashing the students. They shouted slogans against the officials and demanded authorities arrest those involved.
While speaking to The Express Tribune, a protester said Muhammad Amir and other students went to the office of Economics Department Dean Dr Aleem to get their fee vouchers corrected.
He added that after an argument, Dr Aleem and other staff members thrashed the students and tore their clothes.
Meanwhile, after successful negotiations and assurance by the Civil Lines police station SHO, the protesters dispersed peacefully.
Protest against false case
Residents of Baloch Colony held a protest against the police for ‘registering a false case’ in Dera Ghazi Khan on Wednesday.
Enraged locals gathered outside the regional police office and shouted slogans against Gadai police station officers for registering a false case against Muhammad Amin. They accused officials of harassing, torturing and falsely implicating the suspect.
They demanded that the Punjab chief minister and senior officials take note of the incident and provide justice to Amin and his family.
Later, ADIG Tahir Mustafa held negotiations with the protesters and assured them that the matter would be resolved as soon as possible. After the assurance, the locals ended their protest and dispersed peacefully.
